A new radio programme on the digital environment is scheduled to start on the Euskadi Irratia radio station and will be presented by Leire Palacios. The new programme is called ‘Sarean’ and will be broadcast on Sundays from 15:00 until 16:00. It will mostly be covering ordinary, everyday subjects. They will include music, literature, sports, feminism, etc. and the influence exerted by technologies and the Internet on all of them will be discussed with a guest. In addition, the sarean.eus collaborators will work in Binaka (Pairs) on articles posted on the sarean.eus network. In addition, an interesting website will be proposed every week and Rafa Bañales of Euskaltel will be there to answer listeners’ technical questions.

The radio programme is due to kick off on Sunday, 9 July and Harkaitz will be the first guest. He will be asked about non-creative literature and technology for producing literature.

The ‘Sarean’ radio programme is the brainchild of the PuntuEUS Foundation in collaboration with the Euskadi Irratia radio station and has been set up with the help of Euskaltel. Its starting point is the sarean.eus Internet portal.

The sarean.eus website has been revamped

Sarean.eus is the meeting point of the digital environment. It aims to inform, entertain, promote technological culture in Basque and create references locally. So it will be developing all kinds of subjects relating to the digital environment with the help of well-known, expert collaborators: the subjects will be selected and specially prepared.  Thanks to the echo achieved within the space of a year, the project and the website have now been revamped: the new sarean.eus website and the ‘Sarean’ radio programme. That way, the content produced on the radio can also be heard via the sarean.eus website.
